Evangelism
In keeping with Luke 4:18-19 (Isaiah 61:1-4), we are compelled by love and obedience to live, speak, and bring Jesus’ Gospel to our community.
For purposes of organization and administration, we separate our missions and evangelistic activities. Missions Ministry is described as supporting other ministries and Churches outside our immediate area.
Our goal in evangelism is very simple to instruct and develop followers of Christ (Disciples). We believe that the primary method of developing followers of Christ is by relationships. So our methodology in support of this belief has us doing activities that allow us to interact with as many people as possible in a face to face manner. We are not dogmatic in how we carry out our Church Mission (Luke 4:18-19). Currently, we use several methods to promote the Gospel. Those methods include, one on one coversations, Bible studies, Vacation Bible School (VBS), social assistance, and other special events.
Demographically, we have groups geared towards families, men, women, youth, and children. Our current geographic focus is South Toledo (43614, 43615, and 43609 zip codes). We are not limited to this but for now this is our focus. It is our heart to commit to intecessory prayer for individuals, families, and our community. It is our desire to let people know that the Lord see's them, know's them, and love's them. They are not alone.
Our efforts to touch the community continue. It is our hope to see South Toledo become a place of opportunity for individuals and families. We pray that we can help inspire all to aspire for greater things - first starting with a right relationship with Jesus the Christ.
In 2021, we began to work on two "big Ideas", 1. Next Generation evangelism; 2. Pro-Life.

Byrnedale Community Partner
We have the great privilege to serve Brynedale Elementary School. For the 23/24 school year we hope to re-engage the Byrnedale School community. Our current plans are to provide quarterly teacher pantry. We also continue to build relationships via our weekly prayer walks. So far, we have assisted in having a Teacher’s pantry as well as participating in Donuts for Parents. If you would like to get involved with our efforts at Byrnedale Elementary, please contact pastorbeau@aroundthefamily.com for more details.
Swan Creek Metro Park Prayer Stations
Sweet and simple, two saints, two chairs, and a sign - Need Prayer? We extend a hand to all to show them Christ’s love. We plan to do this again during the summer months.
Renewed Minds - in training
Using Dr. Henry Cloud’s material, we are in training to offer classes on mental fitness and health issues. The initial Cadre have completed Phase 1 training. They are now entering Phase 2.
Haitian Community Development
On April 14, we began our work to develop a Haitian Community in Lucas County. We had a wonderful mini-festival. Working with HUT ministries, we hope to assist these “new Toledoans” to settle and establish new lives in our community.
