About Foursquare

Foursquare is more of a movement than a denomination.

These are the beliefs that flavor this move of God called Foursquare.

First are cardinal tenets.

  • Red and the Cross – Jesus our Savior
    Colossians 1:20, Hebrews 9:22)

  • Gold and Dove – Jesus our Baptizer in the Holy Spirit and Fire
    Acts 1:8

  • Blue and Cup – Jesus our Burden Bearer (Healer)
    Mark 16:17-18, Matthew 11:28-30

  • Purple and Crown – Jesus our Soon Coming King
    Matthew 25:31, Revelation 19:16

A few other important ingredients of the Foursquare Movement: we believe what Hebrew 13:8 has to say "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever"; and we are committed to Kingdom building with other Christians. We show love and tolerance to all denominations and expressions of the Christian Faith, but also, we actively seek to work with our Brothers and Sisters to build God's Kingdom in our community "one soul at a time. To help us remember this we believe "In essentials—unity; in non-essentials—liberty; in all things—charity." (St. Augustine). Finally, we take it literally that Jesus wanted us to go to all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). This is why we are so active in the Mission Field.
